Emotional Baggage
I have been carrying emotional baggage around for a while. I know that I need to hand it over to God and let him do his part. The type of emotional pain that I deal with has to do with family. I have been hurt so many times that I could write a book about it. My mom and dad thank God did not raise me, but they have always been in my life in some way or another. At this time I have always felt that my mom more than my dad just did not care. It is like she is force to have a relationship with me. This force comes from the other family members. My mom doses not live near me anymore, which that is not a big deal, parents do not have to live close to their children to care and love them. The thing is that she does not call, yes I call her at times but she is always busy with things for my sister or her daughter. I do not mind that she does thing for them but she do not take the time to talk to me. She really has not been a mother to me, she did not raise me, just gave birth to me. I am so glad that my grandparents raised me in a loving home and share the word of God with me. I call my grandma mom ever since I can remember and I think as her as my mother. Even though I have a wonderful grandma who has actually taken the place of being my mom, it still hurts inside me and I am so lost on how to let go of it. I thought that I had gave it to God then other things come up that bring more pain and hurt form my birth mom and the pain comes back. I cannot understand why it hurts, you think that after all this time and the many times it has happen that it would not bother me so much but it does. I am going to give it all to God and let him heal my emotional wounds that I have and that I do not hold it in and let the pain eat me up inside, where I would not be able to enjoy the grace of God.

Communicating with God
The ways that a person is able to communicate with God are through prayer, by our actions; verbal and nonverbal, and through the Bible. Communication by prayer is an intimate conversation you have with your Father in haven. No formula or group of words that we have to memorize to say when you pray. Prayer is like talking to another person, except that you are talking to your creator. When you are communicating with someone; you first do the talking while the other person listens. Then other person talks while you listening. You want others to listen to you when you speak to them, well God will listen to you when you talk to Him through prayer. God also wants for you to listen to Him when he speaks to you. To listen to God you need stop to hear what He has to say to you, whether or not you like what He has to say. He is the one that knows what is best for you and will not lead you in the wrong direction. The Bible is a way God uses often to commutate with us. God will communicate to you through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is in you to help you to know what you should do to obey God.When you read the Bible there might be things you are unsure of, then that is when you need to stop and talk to God and ask Him for the wisdom needed to understand. At times God may not answer right away but He will let you know what you need to know at the right timing. God gives us in sight to the Bible when He knows it is the right time for you to discover new things. The readings that you do in the Bible will not just give you insight but eternal wisdom. He will also use other people’s messages to you. God will have others to do or say something that He wants you to know or to do something. Again you have to listen to know what that maybe.
Do you think that we are always in communication with God throughout the day? What I mean is some people may think that if you talk to God all day long that you are communicating with God. Let me say this is not so, commutating with God is a two way street you have to be able to listen as well as talk. At times you may talk to God a little bit throughout the day, but are you stopping to listen to Him. Prayer is a time that you should put time and thought into it. God wants to have your full attention and for you to put your heart into what you want to pray about. Again you need to have the time to listen to Him. I am not saying that you not talk to God throughout the day, just take the time to hear what he has to say to you. Some people may also think that if they think about something they would like to have done or tell another person about a concern they may have, is a form of prayer. What is wrong with that is you are not intentionally commutating with God, you are just expressing your concerns to another human. Which is good that you are expressing you thoughts to another person, God wants us to have relationships with other people but He also wants you to have one with Him. In order to receive a meaningful communication with your heavenly Father is you to be still and give your full attention, heart and voice and listen to what He has to tell you.
Verse Psalms 4:3 but know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
The type of prayer that this verse suggests, is the type that is when you pray with intent and with all your heart. God will hear you when you call to Him in prayer.

I am born again Christian. I am a student at Nova, there I am studying education. I listen and follow the Lord the best I can everyday, and try all I can to tell others about Jesus, which is a challenge to me because I am a shy person when I meet someone new. I do open up later after I have gotten to be friends with them. The internet helps me to express my thoughts freely because I can write out the way I feel.
